Universal Seniors Social Services Uganda works to ensure seniors in Uganda live secure, dignified, and meaningful lives.
Serving communities across the Elgon region of Eastern Uganda, USSSU helps bridge service gaps through voluntary service, local partnership, compassionate care, and practical support for older adults ages 65 and above.
USSSU is a charitable organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of seniors in Uganda, one of the most vulnerable populations in the country. Our mission is to meet gaps in the lives of seniors ages 65 years and older by engaging local communities to provide care and to support seniors’ food security, nutrition, medical needs including HIV/AIDS care, and psychosocial wellbeing.
Our vision is to help seniors in Uganda live secure and dignified lives. USSSU works to reduce poverty and destitution, improve access to nutrition, health and education, restore dignity and independence, create employment opportunities for seniors, engage community-based programs in the care of seniors, create awareness of HIV/AIDS among seniors and dependents, and promote the wellbeing and productivity of seniors in today’s economy, politics, and society.
